Default 123gt cam value

Hi all

A friend has unearthed what he believes is a 123gt cam, what kind of value would it be?

It's a bit dusty and has some light surface rust but looks unused.

Thanks

Tony

Not a lot. Nothing special. Just a C cam. Rust on the lobes will make it worthless.

Having previously been into classic fords, i hoped the classic volvo community would avoid posts like this...it seems not.

A new one is £140 just isn’t much value in a old cam especially if it has rust on the lobes.

I believe Volvo stamps the end of the camshaft with the cam profile designation (C, D, K ....). That should confirm the specifics of the cam.

'Light surface rust' may or may not be a problem. Depends on whether it is just flash or enough moisture has been present to result in surface damage.
