960 centre rear brake light
I'll have you know i'm a very highly-qualified, knowledgable expert professional intellectual. No problems ever get past me, I'm just great, and MOST humble at that.
I replaced the central brake light bulb and now i can't get the light back where it was against the boot lid trim. I gather the edge of it overlaps like a kind of clip but pushing it back down onto the trim where it should sit is proving unsuccessful and the light is now just dangling everywhere. Every time i brake I am reminded of my failure. How do I get the bloody lamp back where its supposed to be? Take the whole trim off? Thank you |

If it is an estate then it is held in with two screws.
If it is a saloon then the retaining clip that's on the parcel shelf has two grooves that the brake light slides in to. Put the light at the start of the grooves, in the middle of the retaining clip there is a big plastic clip thing, this needs pushing up ever so slightly and then you can slide it on. 20201005_103231 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE 20201005_103227 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE |

I think I might just upload a short video of what the problem is. A picture's worth a thousand unclear words, and a video is 30 frames per second =D It's an estate. I brought in the other car today so I'll update later this evening |
