Default Excellent service from Volvo Maidenhead

I've just had some recalls done for my 2014 V70 D4 SE Lux Geartronic by Volvo Maidenhead.

Of all of the dealers within reach, they're the only one who returned my call. My first proper conversation with them also included the possibility of a blocked EGR cooler, and they said that if work was needed then they would try to get Volvo to contribute. I liked the sound of that.

So, in went my V70 yesterday, and home I went in a 70-reg V90 Cross Country T5 courtesy car with loads of bells and whistles. Talk about slumming it (not)!

By 4:30pm my car was ready.

ECM software upgrade done. Bleeder hose done. New EGR cooler supplied and fitted. All at no cost to myself.

They also carried out a general health check. They queried whether or not the brake fluid had been changed, which had been done a couple of weeks earlier by Horton Cars. They also queried whether or not the coolant had been changed, but they then ended up changing it anyway as part of the bleeder hose recall. They also advised me to check the coolant level in the morning, and it was fine.

Regarding the seatbelt recall, they were reassuring that all was well and that I should call them in late November for an update.

They even took time this morning to clear up a worry about a possible oil leak, which the technician described as "some sweating" but nothing serious in their opinion.

The staff were polite and gracious and made the experience a very pleasant one, and I'm now the owner of a fully-sorted V70.

So, thank you Volvo Maidenhead for your help and support (and your V90 ).
