SC-805 displays 'OFF'
Situation is as in title above.
I spent two hours or more yesterday sitting in the 960 with the head unit switched on and the ignition system in position 1. One of my radi8 display checks showed blank. I thought that I was on to a winner in the reset operation. Sadly the cause of the blank display was that the battery had gone flat and my afternoon sitting in the car was lost. I know that I will need to repeat the reset operation but can it be done with the engine running rather than 'ignition position 1' If I can get the head unit display back to 'CODE' I do have the code to enter.

The radio in my 960 is displaying the same "off" according to the handbook it just says the radio needs to be turned on for 2 hours without interruption so would imagine that means it can be done with the engine running.

Returned to the fight with the head unit today, Got a half tank of fuel and as I left the filling station the SC-805 head unit was switched on. As expected the display showed 'OFF'. This was about 1230. Went to the yard where I could leave the engine running while I did some other work on the car.
About 1500 as I was about to take a break, I noticed that the head unit display was now 'CODE'. The code was duly entered and the radio now works again. I phoned Mrs Mig (at home) and held the phone at one of the speakers. The response was along the lines of 'Yubba- Dubba-Doo!' (Brownie points available I reckon.)
