302mm is the only direct fit upgrade. 305s do not fit without custom hangers. The 302s are only a direct fit if you have 17" alloys, or the Perfo's from S/V70 T5s.
302mm brakes were fitted to most 98-00 S/V70 T5s, and every C70 T5 from 00-05.

For 302's you'll need the carriers, discs and some seem to think longer hoses too but I was under the impression all 16" and above equipped cars have the longer hoses as standard. They will fit under Columba alloys but you'll need to shave a bawhair off the caliper body and watch where you put the balance weights too. They good stright on with the V70 T5 16" Perfo alloys or indeed, any 17's. Also worth doing the rears and the flexis plus fluid. Overhauling a tired standard system can give better results than simply bolting on Saturn ring esque discs and Carlos Fandango grade calipers.

That may be what Volvo said in their sales brochure, but my 2003 C70 T5 was delivered with 280mm brakes and I had one hell of an argument with Volvo UK who tried to assure me that the car had been supplied to correct U.K. spec. I did eventually prevail, but not until I raised it directly with the U.K. General Manager!

Caliper stays. You need carriers, discs and longer hoses. Perfo rims. Agreed, Colombo rims can be made to fit at a push - grind the caliper, there's heaps of spare meat in the casting.
This was Plod spec back in the day. R & T5 had this too. Mintex specify a different pad. 302mm for road use is all you'll need. Plod managed at higher speeds than you'll be doing, assuming you intend to keep your licence! The hard part is finding the taller carrier. It's a worthwhile upgrade. Tyres are dearer, if you do lotsa miles - not quite so comfy. Quote:

302 is a great and no too expensive upgrade if you are changing the discs anyway.
You can get the caliper brackets from Skandix http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...02-mm/1029834/
