This thread is very useful for those with XCs. I had a go at the car already so I know what the Poster is talking about regardless of pictures with the banjo clips and lines
The problem is, I need to know how you disconnected the fuel line that sits above the manifold? |

I took the bolts out of the fuel rail and tilted the fuel rail backwards and then fiddled a bit and it click released.

Something like a set of these will help disconnect the fuel line

Just had to change the ETM again so had the bright idea of doing the PCV while I was at it. Was searching and found this post by ian w and found it very helpful.
My PCV was pretty clear with no more than 10% blockage on any pipe or the drain to sump but as I had the parts I changed them anyway. Job was made a bit longer as virtually all the pipes to the charcoal canister just disintegrated if they were touched. Bought some 8 & 10 mm pipe from Halfords and replaced. I used a £4 ebay tool on the quick release coupling and I used the Volvo clips as I had the tool, but nail pincers or tile nippers do the job. Engine is 20 years old with 150000 miles but always had Mobile 1 synthetic, perhaps this reduces the crud build up, I can only guess. John
