Default Sticky clutch pedal

I replaced the clutch on my 97 R a few months ago, car has been driving great but after being parked up for the weekend recently the clutch pedal was very stiff when I first drove it on the Monday, since then it seems to be intermitantly stiff, once its been used a few times its ok but first use its always stiff for the fist few pushes..

Could be the bushes on the clutch pedal assembly or the release lever. Did you lubricate the gearbox splines when replacing the clutch?
May even be a faulty master/slave cylinder.

I also replaced my clutch a while back and it has developed a squeak, which I assume is the clutch release arm squeaking on its pivot (old one did it for a long time). Is there anyway to lubricate the clutch linkage? Other than the pedal pivot, I am thinking probably not but I remember the phase "lubricate the clutch linkage" being listed once when I had the car serviced.
