Hello Blanking EGR is it worth it? Does in need any software update? Any improvements? Many Thanks |

the EGR works very well on these engines , It will cause engine to go into low power mode , why would you want to do this?

If everything is working correctly, the EGR doesn't clog up so if your car is well maintained, I wouldn't bother with blanking.
If anyone's EGR is badly restricted, they may as well fix the cause rather than cover the symptom.

blanking worked well on my mondeo 4 pot.
I cannot comment for the volvo. If you do do it, use thick steel not a coke can or alu as it gets hot hot.

i didn't notice any difference to my D5 163, so i removed it again. Was done whilst trying to fix another issue.
Other vehicles like my vans and landy have all benefited greatly for it. Think the D5 is just a well designed lump with better control than the primitive diesel lumps on my other vehicles. |
