Wow - thought I'd stepped into a parallel universe for a minute there.

Turns out there's a parallel thread running where a lot of these post were meant to be

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=277272

If any of you happen to know the answer to the question I posted in post #1 then I'd be much obliged.

If also some of you know who the moderator is for this section then please say - cheers

Hi, I think you should consider a website such as www.postimages.org which offers free image posting.
This is a fairly easy site to use to upload your photos.
Once uploaded you have to decide how to use which in this case would be for Forum posting.
Hope this helps.
I used this site for the two photos I submitted earlier this afternoon.

Try when you have written your post before you send it, scroll down to
Additional options, Manage attachments.
Click on manage attachments and you will get a "download" dropdown.
Keep your pictures at around 350 kb. you will best not trying to send more than five or six at any one time.

Thanks for your responses chaps.

I know how to attach the images and resize them - that's not the problem

I also know I can use off site image hosting sites - that's not a problem either

I just want to know if the owners of this site are going to welcome shed loads of pictures being attached or not.

Most of the build threads I do run on and on for pages - all filled with pictures - which in the end adds up somewhat

(That's why I'd like to get in touch with a moderator who should be able to find out if he or she does not know)

You could post your thread in "Showroom" in the Project Volvo sub section. That would probably be better than in this section. As long as the pictures are relevant to the ongoing story I think you'll be free to post what you like. Try not to use several pictures when one, or maybe two will do.
Moderation is quite tolerant and you'll only get your knuckles wrapped if you step way out of line.

Hi
It looks good. Just as a matter of interest, what does one in this condition cost.

It was a bit over £5000, but then I had to get it transported from Sweden, and then do the brakes etc, so it does start to add up a bit.

Here in Portugal a clunker, in need of restoration sells for up to €5000. A good one which just needs some tidying up sells for up to €10,000. A concourse with papers, history for up to €16,000 depending on year and model
Highest price is for 59-61 544 sport.
