Mine works when it remembers, problem is it always seems to remember what the setting is when it is raining and I am stood outside getting wet as the seat winds forward to the wife's setting - this means that I have to wait whilst holding the button to get it as I can't fit myself into tech seat fully forward position my wife likes, this means I get even wetter .
Like many I have tried all sorts of things and have essentially given up Volvo 1 Iain 0

Well it always works with mine! Mind you, it took me best part of a year's ownership to sus it out and only then because SWMBO complained loudly that it never worked for her. The devilish bit that caught me out for ages was the necessity to tick the box twice, once with Fob A and then repeat using Fob B...I thought that the first tick would suffice to turn the function on - silly me!
Thing is, you have to view your Volvo as if it's an Enigma machine - stick at it and you'll crack it in the end! Seriously, it is a very useful feature, it should work, and if it doesn't it is a fault that clearly needs a dealer visit. (PS: wing mirrors are part of the memory feature too)

Hi guys,
This is the first post I make. Recently I have purchased XC60 (used one). The car key memory worked when the dealer demonstrated to me, but since I collected the car it never worked. I tried all the methods in this thread but still failed. Anyone has a new method to solve the problem? Thanks in advance. Sungwoo |

as others have said as long as save car key memory is ticked, when you lock the car with the fob it should then save memory/mirror positions, then when you next unlock it should go to the fob, but you need to lock it first
that's how it should work, if not might be worth resetting system options to default? its worked like that for every Volvo I've owned... took me a while to figure out in the newest one why the dash kept changing, if you have an active tft dash it also saves themes based on the key |

This function worked perfectly on our previous V60 ( MY 12) and does the same on our present XC60 MY13 . It memorises the seat and mirror position and whichever digital display one prefers.
The only time you need to be careful is if you swap drivers on a long journey . You must lock the car with the previous drivers fob and unlock with the new drivers fob. The memory setting is saved each time the car is locked so if you make changes they will be saved automatically every time. Another thing is this gives up to 5 seat memory positions |
