Default Estimate for repairs 1.9D V40

Hi, I'd appreciate a bit of help to save getting ripped off!

Could anyone give me a rough idea of the cost (parts or labour or both) for the following repairs to an '04 V40 1.9 D S, and also whether it's worth replacing the timing belt at the same time if it's not that much extra work (not due for another 40k)

Thanks!

Replace noisy drive belt pulley and tensioner
Replace alternator clutched pulley

you are probably looking at around £250 to £300 for getting them both done including parts

Thanks for the fast reply James!

Is that including VAT and what would you think about the cam belt, is it in roughly the same area?

yeah that includes vat, obviously it will depend on where you go. the cambelt is next to the auxllary belt, assuming the layout is the same as a petrol (which im sure it is)

whether you get the cambelt done is your own preference, its probably got a fair bit of life in it, but there is always the peace of mind aspect.

Thanks again, I may get a quote to have it done at the same time, maybe it will be cheaper than 2 separate jobs!
