I don`t believe this is a transmission issue. It seems more like a stability control , active suspension or abs glitch.
The DSTC system has a yaw rate sensor . Not sure if the 4C has but it does have a lateral motion sensor which is linked in with the steering wheel angle. I`m wondering if something has been changed prior and is un-calibrated. Strange there are no codes. Seems to me that the various systems are working individually but are out of kilter with each other. The only other strange one i`ve come across was an abs issue where the modulator pump had a knackered bearing. The problem only manifested itself when the car was being chucked about. |

At the time when we have been out live mapping we have had the Amber Chassis Settings Service Required. We have, on a couple of occasions had ANTI SKID CONTROL SERVICE REQUIRED also show on dash board but NOTHING showing on the VIDA Modules when the laptop has been up and running with this happening.

I have seen but can’t answer your question specifically. I’ll need to see that myself to give an answer 👍 Will return with knowledge.

So to be clear, under Fault Trace >Initial State, it says No Fault Found?

Further information. I can confirm no codes are coming up on VIDA (we use the delivery tab for live work) when the car is either stationary or being driven. I’ve been out again tonight and upon initial start and pulling away no messages. Turn right.......Chassis Settings Service Required. Ignition off. Back on. Code gone. Go around a roundabout and message back up again until I switch it
off and back on again. Gearbox was not acting up on this drive though. Around 10 miles all in......

Not sure but... rather than reading the vehicle (only engine management is read), you need to highlight the different control modules to read them...
Only a "serious" error will prompt the engine light to illuminate and show on diagnostics when first read. go through each module and see what comes up. Hope this helps......

Ok so we think we have sussed it. We’re pretty sure it’s a wiring issue on the 4C strut on either the left or right side. We’re dropping them both out this weekend and swapping them for known good ones to see if it stops the fault.
Just to add, something we noticed this evening on another test drive if you are in Comfort or Sport and entice the fault to come on by performing a right hand manoeuvre, with CHASSIS SETTINGS SERVICE REQUIRED illuminated.....then select Advanced on 4C the Red S button on Autobox does NOT illuminate. Switch engine off. Fault clears upon restart (every time without fail) WITHOUT CHASSIS SETTINGS SERVICE REQUIRED illuminated select adavanced on 4C and autobox Red S DOES illuminate. We are 99% certain there is a clipped line into one of those struts. Will report back Mon/Tues with a fix result.

Hi guys, just to say that this was a 4C issue. We swapped out both front struts and the problem disappeared.
Unfortunately the car has now thrown a permanent SKID CONTROL SERVICE REQUIRED code into the dash that once again does not appear on VIDA and cannot be cleared. The only real option is a loom swap and we’ve taken the pragmatic view to break it as a mint manual has come up and it is fault free. Thanks for the replies and advice. We did fix the original problem but in doing So found yet another. Mechanically it is tip top....it’s just got some duff wiring in there somewhere and our auto electricians haven’t been able to sort it. Sad, but necessary times.
