You're all very fortunate (Smilie if I could get one). I picked up my pre registered V90 R Design (with 24 miles on the clock0 on the 1st March and have been fighting with my local dealer (not difficult to work out who) ever since to get the one supplied with the car. Last contact with the dealer was last week when the receptionist said that he would speak with the service manager and let me know what was happening. Since then Silence. Surprise ,surprise !!. They've now been presented with a perfect excuse "Sorry sir but Lockdown.................."

I watched that video. Increasingly beginning to think that some people shouldn't be trusted with tools.

Some heat would almost certainly make the disassembly go easier, along with using a vinyl or plastic glue (waterproof seal) when putting it back together.

The sides of the battery are insulated for a reason, and I suspect the video creator will discover this the hard way when his key catches fire in his pocket.

I'd also be inclined to try some careful application of a soldering iron to break the spot weld before wrenching it off. Careful given that it's a lithium metal battery.

You can get conductive epoxy which is a much better bet for the new battery. Might place a thin piece of foam either side of the battery to ensure pressure is maintained on the contacts indefinitely. Don't get fingerprints on the battery surface.

The battery terminal is spot welded to the battery not soldered so heat would not work, I have changed my battery twice, the first time I had to do exactly what that person did and use long nose pliers to grip and turn it to break the tiny spot weld, I reused the yellow insulation around the edge of the new battery.

Car went in for its 3rd Service and MOT today, took my activity key with me as I haven’t been able to use it for the last 6 months due to it keep showing low battery and couldn’t trust it, used it all the time up to then. Mentioned it and they agreed to replace under warranty. As a bonus the new key is one of the motion sensor ones so I don’t have to keep in in a bag or tinfoil.
