Smile Stunning V70 D5 SE 2006 looking for forever home

Hi Everyone,

As a result of family car reshuffles (I really wasn't anticipating my wife deciding the V70 is too big for her after her Beetle died) my much loved V70 has to find a new home. Before advertising elsewhere, I thought I'd post it here and perhaps get an idea of what is a reasonable price for such a vehicle, and ensure forum members get a first look in. I believe good D5's are becoming more difficult to find especially those with refurbished wheels and little worn Michelin Cross Climates on every corner!

I've loved her and looked after her and it really does pain me to part... having had a look on Autotrader, cars are seemingly randomly listed anything between £1500-£3000. Given provenance and condition I've pitched in at £2950 as a starting point. I've taken 5 minutes to put pictures etc on a micro site to help me list elsewhere, if within the next week its not sold.

https://sites.google.com/view/volvov70d5/home

In terms of the forum I'd like to say a bit thank you - its been fantastic over the years I got my first V70 in 2002 and have never looked back. The forum quality will be deeply missed as I've now purchased my neighbour's Touareg, something tells me I may be back to Volvo at some point - not least the Touareg seat which I simply can't get right!

I'm happy to receive advice re price or similarly interest in purchase either way.

All the best and keep safe, Ian

Great advert.
If I was in the market I'd definitely give you a call (I'm after an XC70 though).
Good luck with the sale, having had a couple of similar V70's I think its worth every penny IMHO.

Many thanks. I'm going to be so sorry to see it go, it's been a fantastic car, just hope I've made the right decision re the Touareg, I've a small yacht which the V70 is just to small to pull ( it's got no towbar and I've never tried).

Very nicely written advert.
The price seems quite reasonable, good luck with the sale.

Good luck with the sale, I think you’ll regret selling it though!

the advert is wrong - it's a 2.4.

Lovely looking motor. If it had 7 seats, I'd be very tempted.
