  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but could I ask a basic question with the 'B' engines and their 48v Li-ion systems, does the car still have a conventional 12v electrical system with a conventional 12v battery fitted, or is there transformers involved ?

More to the point can Independent Volvo garages still easily service them?

Sorry two questions there

Yes it has a small 12V battery in the back. Large portion of the cars being sold today have been mild hybrids for several years, so independent garages have had the time to prepare for he new technology. I guess it shouldn’t be a problem for most of them.
