New Set up for 2009
hi we have not long been members so here is a bit of info about us, we have always had classic cars and for the last few years classsic caravans. We changed our Cheltenham Fawn last year for a bigger model a Nyala, which meant my humber sceptre would not tow this one and his SD1 does not look right so we have had a change of cars, sold the humber and the rover and bought a volvo amazon estate
now all we have to do is wait for the tow bar for the amazon to arrive so we can have our first official run out with this set up hopefully in May when we have a local classic car and caravan club rally, so fingers crossed all will go ok |

What a great setup it will be with the matching Amazon and caravan. I have towed our modern Eldiss caravan behind the Amazon locally and it just looked odd. I think you might have to beef up your Amazons rear suspension for towing.
All the best Jim

Welcome! What a great combination - hope our paths cross as I'd love to inspect car and caravan.
It's a small world on the Internet- I believe I remember seeing your Sceptre for sale. I regularly look out for them as I've got a 1963 Sceptre, was in daily use but is in my garage waiting for me to learn to weld. Let us know how you get on fitting the towbar and using it. Ian |

it could have been mine, his SD1 went ot a good home on Sunday so it now just leaves us with another Sceptre which we had for spares and a Vauxhall Viva HA to find homes for, then it will be the big job of going through all the sheds and garages to see what other spares we have aquired over the years for cars the we no longer have and getting rid of them
