Smile How Does the comms pack work?

Hi All,
I hope I am okay doing this, I have several questions for different subjects to my XC90 so I have listed them under different headings, if this is inappropriate can someone tell me, I dont want to annoy anyone!!! Cheers

I have now got my shiny black XC90 and I am quite pleased with it. However there are one or two niggles that i want to sort out. I dont have a manual as yet but i have contacted the previous keeper and await a reply.

This question relates to the communications pack that is fitted to the car, I have no idea how it works but i want to try it out. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get 2 sim cards for the same number (one for the car and one for my phone) I ask as it is a pain taking the simcard out of my phone everytime i get in the car!!

Sorry to bore everone with my volley of questions and information finding, I want to get using the XC90 but not before I have sorted it all out. If anyone is interested I am selling my LPG Converted Lexus RX300!!!

Any help or advice as always is greatly appreciated.

I have a PAYG sim in the car and I forward calls from my mobile to my car. I have a Nokia and it is a shortcut key so actually quite a simple task.

TIP: Copy the contacts from your mobile to the car SIm and the caller id is displayed on the phone display.

I don't drive the XC90 much so this might not be acceptable to you.

I believe Orange offer 2 sims for 1 number, not sure about other networks.

Have a nose around either here or on Google for a searchable manual in pdf format.

I am fairly sure they no longer offer this.

I just have a different sim in the xc, and as said, just forward calls if it matters that much. If I am driving, and expecting a call, I just tell folks to call me on the car number.

I agree. I phoned a number of service providers to get a dual SIM and no one would do it.

I also got a PAYG SIM and just forwarded my calls to that when I got in the car.

Move here in Norway you can get dual sim from most (all?) service providers. I'm using dual sim so my car and cell will ring simultaneously. My operator also let me choose if I want incoming texts sent to both phones or just one.
