V40 Ph2 2003 Luggage Strap
Dear all
Apparantly there should be a luggage strap attached between two hard points in the rear inside lip of the boot compartment of the V40. This is missing on my car. Does anyone have one of these which they are willing to sell me. It would be quite useful to have it because I find that small items tend to slide about in the boot. The purpose of the strap thingy is obviously to secure such items and stop them sliding about. Unfortunately I don't seem to have been granted the privelidge of PMs yet so replies via this forum only for now thanks. TimR |

Dear Gatos
Thank you for your PM with pictures. I now have my V40 back from the paintshop where it was having its sills painted with stone chip. I have had a look in the boot compartment and I can now see that the car has the luggage strap in place. I just didn't know how it worked. I've had a play with it and have discovered that it works perfectly; in fact in's so clean that I suspect that its never been used. So as you can see, I no longer need to purchase one but I would like to thank you for your offer and for the pictures. I was when I studied them I could what I was looking for. Sure enough the business end was tucked away in it's moulding. Sorry to have been so dense and put you to the trouble you obviously went to. TimR |

Not a problem at all and glad you found you had them. This is a forum after all where we try to help each other where and when we can.... It would take you a bit of time trying to install them, so this is good news....
