Default Heated rear seats

Being a bit of a button freak, and also trying to qualify for daddy of the year, I would like to add these to my 95 GLT 850. Can anyone either help me with the part no.s to order from Volvo (the local dealer wasn't willing) or point mein the direction of a breaker.

I can see the multiplugs under the rear seats for the pads, and hopefully there will be the same at the rear of the tunnel for the switches. If anyone has a factory parts list i would love to hear from you.

If you look in the voc magazine you will see lots of adverts for parts.
If you search on the net for breakers you will get a fair selection.
This search is a good one as they will search different breakers for you and email you the results and prices.
http://www.findapart.co.uk/home.asp

The volvo numbers you want are:-
9174641 back heater
6806479 bum heater
321779 thermostat which is 36c
or
1395937 which is 45c
Regards.

Yes please!
Would there be an extension piece from the switches to the loom in the centre tunnel, or is it already there? I have not yet had time to unscrew it all.

By the way, I love this car so much, I could go on improving it and adding bits forever! I never begrudge a penny on it, only thing is its done 100k miles, what the hell am I going to replace it with when the grim reaper arrives??

Braydon Motors in east London is a good contact - Tel: 020 8985 2255. Do you need a wiring diagram, I have one if you need it.

Is it better than the haynes type one, I'm useless at reading them. I was hoping for something like an extract from the dealer CD-Rom. I did buy one off Ebay, but it's stopped working on my PC; probably should reinstall.

Mark, I take it that your front seats are already heated - I had a complete re-fit of heated front seats to my car ('98 V70 T5)a few months ago. The car's original seats were not heated or electronically controlled. On taking the front seats out there was absolutely no wiring loom so a loom had to be fitted from scratch connecting through the bulkhead to the fuse box (the central coin box had to be changed to one with the two switches) - I had the work done by a pro. The seats needed to be wired into the ECU as well! I hope that you do indeed have a loom to connect the rear seats to and that they have all the correct fittings . I know that you are not retro-fitting front seats, however my message to you is not to take for granted that everything is there, however I do hope that it is!

hello Bob, i am new to this site, and have to say I am delighted that it is here!.
I bought a 1995 850 estate 20V recently, absolutely delighted with it except for the seats.Whoever had it before us must have had dogs, as the seat belts look as they have been chewed, and when we got the car valeted the doggy smell afterwards would make your eyes water!
This car is for bringing the family around, and with a five month old baby in the back i started to search for new seats.
I was very lucky to find full leather seats for Euro 200.00,however when i fitted the front seats i copped that the new seats were electrically adjusted, while my old ones were manual.Luckily the position they were in last allows us to drive as normal, but i need to get them working. I was thinking of going back to the breakers and getting the loom, The old seats were heated so i was able to connect the new seats for heat. Can you advise me on how to go about connecting the motors up please ?I forgot to say I live in Ireland.I will post this on the main site also as i need someone to advise me on how to remove the rear seat backrests. The breakers had the leather seats removed already when i bought them. Many thanks, Ger C.

I can certainly send you the wiring diagrmas, but I am am sure someone else here has some practical experience with this. I am also sure there is another post on this recently. Did you try using the search facility on the forum for previous messages?
