front headlight wipers? one with a mind of its own?
Hello all
I have got a problem with my passengers side head light washer or to be more précis the wiper. I was my screen and headlights and all works ok but the problem is the passenger side wiper wont stop it keeps going until you turn the ignition off can anybody give me some advise on this one. I thought it might be a relay but I thought it would power both sides. All the best Mickintodeep |

Each side may have its own relay. I believe that the wipers have a 'return to rest' function, which normally is what makes them stop horizintally at the bottom of the light. This could well be achieved through a relay, rather than the motor, I don't know, but if it's done by a relay I suppose it might make sense for each wiper to have one.

From my schematics, all the electrical connections are commoned between both wiper motors, so if one keeps operating then the only place the problem can lie is within the wiper parking mechanism for that motor.
The schematics do not show any relays involved with the headlamp wiper motors. Hope this is of use.

We have had a few people here that have found that their headlight wipers wont stop. I'm sure you will find it is the parking mechanism within the wiper motor.
Either strip it down and repair or replace. Simon |

Hello All
Thanks for your help it looks like the spanners are coming out again I will try to strip it down and give it a clean up first. Hopefully this might save me a bit of money. I wish lol. Thanks |
