Is there no way to squirt some dry graphite powder into the mechanism?

It'll go altogether eventually - got mine fitted with a new latch - latch and fitting + vat = £130 - warranty company (Motor care - Llanwit Major) I'm with have agreed to completely cover it

the garage that fitted it is in Cardiff, talk to Mike - www.new-inn-motors.co.uk

Mine actually did it today, seemed like relay or fuse .Checked all this but no it was not electrical. I took the lock off and wacked it with a screwdriver handle and it burst into life. But now I notice the fuel filler cap lock only unlocks and will not lock. Suggest you check yours as well as I believe they are linked.

Mine does the same, a crack with something will release the latch and it will start working again.
