Default Torque App and ELM dongle

I can't remember who but I know a regular on here (Cheshired5 or Pacman?) uses this. Does it give live data in particular transmission fluid temp?

Please.....this is not a request for VIDA/DICE info! We all know nothing comes closes....when you can get it working, I'm just looking for a specific question to be answered.

I have it and use it all the time. It does give Transmission fulid temperature which for the greater part is always the same as the coolant temperature. (They do alter with a bit of a delay sometimes but are generally never more than 1 degree C difference.) I initially thought that the Torque app was reading the info incorrectly but as there is a heat exchange between the ATF and the coolant then it seems logical that they will have a similar temperature.

Where did you get your dongle? A lot on eBay say they don't work with diesels!

I get all mine from eBay and the listing also says it doesn't work with diesels.
No one seems to have told the dongles though because they all work fine.
