Starting issues
Hi team, sorry it took me a while to get back to you.
The issue has been fixed, it had something to do with the steering apparently. I’ve asked for Volvo to send me the paperwork so I can see what exactly has been done to the car. When I spoke to the receptionist she said that it’s a common issue. I was just surprised that the electric break can not be manually overwritten so they had it tow it with all four wheels up. I’ll post the technical report once I receive it. |

Thanks. Sounds like the steering input sensor that some others have struggled with. Please post technical report when you have it. Many thanks. Philip.

So basically everything turned on as per usual, like the dashboard, screen and radio etc. but the gears didn't show on the dash and I could not put it in any of the gears.
It has been fixed under the warranty and the issue was that there was no communication with the steering column lock. The dealer carried out a reload of the steering column lock and it is fine now. The total costs would've been NZ$635.00 but as it was under warranty I didn't have to pay anything. I hope that this helps other people. Cheers Last edited by DVDV; Jul 8th, 2019 at 04:47. |

Cough, cough.
If it's any consolation, even Boeing have had trouble with their '737 Max' aeroplanes..................... |
