  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Can you replace the ball joint or is it a full wishbone?

Phase 1.5 T4 2000 year W reg??

It is possible to change just the balljoint and it is available from PFV but for the extra time and effort most people recommend changing the arm.

The ball joint isnt available separatly from Volvo that must mean something regarding saftety ..

sorry, but that doesnt mean a thing. the cj joint for my car wasnt available from volvo separately. got it from elsewhere and it doesnt take a mechanic to see theres no safety issues with a separate cv joint. i know of another item which is available separetely that volvo doesnt stock. it just boils down to volvo having a crap parts list.

It's all well and good until the joint which presses into a broached hole a SECOND time comes loose , it cant fall out but never the less a safety issue ... That is the reason it isn't available separatly . any litigation won't be the suppliers problem but the person's who fitted it ..

a garage will be needed to fit it, if they can get hold of it and fit it then its covered if its a legit garage. im just correcting your reasons for suspicion
