Default Ride height?

Hi folks after just reading a post about advice on ride height and which springs to use I thought it would be useful to get some idea on how high your car sits and which springs and dampers you have fitted.
Not really thought this through but if we can decide on a reference point for measuring and make sure the car is unloaded it would give us some idea if the rear end is due some new bits and bobs?and which make are most affective.

On my 740 GLE estate I have heavy duty coil springs as well as coil assistors as I need to tow a very heavy caravan. It also has Boge gas shocks,My tyres are standard 185/65 R15 88H.All I have to do now is measure it somewhere?
Maybe at the centre of the wheel arch?but not sure that will work as it kinda isn't level.

I will add some piccies to hopefully show the change when I fitted the new springs.

Hope you can help with this little project Thanks Brian.

I have a similar set up to you without the assistors which should make no difference to unladen ride height. At the rear my car measures 67.5cm from the road to the bottom of the wheelarch with 40psi in the tyres. The front measures 65cm with 30psi. Strange but I havent seen any comments about saggy front ends. Is everyone sorted or just so long as the shockers are ok are they happy to have a soggy front. See alot of old Volvos with the front wheels starting to disappear into the wheelarch.

Default Ride height

Hi.
The car needs to be on a reasonably level and smooth surface, then measure vertically from the ground through the centre of the wheel, and where the tape meets the wheel arch is where the measurement is taken, but I don't know what that measurement is!
All the best.
