Do you got a guide on how you changed the lamps in the mirror?
Would be nice to see how you do it.

Make up / visor bulb replacement guide is in the manual (around page 261 in MY 11 I think).

Manual has nothing on the front console / map light area unfortunately. And having pulled and prized in that area I'm still none the wiser!

I did try the number plate though. Removed 2 screws and the housing still held fast!

So hats off to the creator of this thread as, even when there is some guide in the Volvo manual, it's not as easy as it looks in my experience.

Ok, so I need a bit of help here.

I have now bought three different sets of 501 wedge LED’s to replace the puddle light bulbs.

The first ones, from Halfords, refused to work, the second, which were CanBus, were too big for the housing and the third set (and I really thought I had cracked it here because they look identical to the ones shown here, with resistors and everything) just flash once and then don’t work.

Can someone please point me in the direction of a website that can supply me with some wedge LED bulbs, to replace my puddle lights in the Wing Mirrors, which are going to work?

So far, I have spent nearly 40 squid, and I am getting sick of the smirking from the family.

Sorry can't point you in the right direction - but wondered if you could point out or show what ones you bought and where so I and others can avoid the same situation.

Just about to make a list of bulbs I need and do a few and see how it goes.

With 40 quid I guess you done the other lights and this is your last set?

i got a little problem. When i tried to change the light in the trunk, the fuse did break, so all lights in the back and under the throttle are out. Does anyone know where it is, and what i can do? i have been checking the once under the hood, and the once in the trunk.

Ah, If only.

As I said, some of the bulbs were bought from Halfords but the others were bought from Autobulbs Direct, which I use quite frequently.

The CAN BUS bulbs were:
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501...LED-bulbs.html

These were too long and I should have looked inside the mirror housing before ordering.

The others, the ones I thought were going to work, are these:
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501...-blue-red.html

They look like the ones shown at the start of this thread but when I installed one of them it just flashed briefly once and would not work after that. I was hoping that those of you that have made the changes to LED could tell me where to get the LED’s from.

Thanks for the info.

I have gathered the bulb sizes etc below - (location, size codes and quantity)

Code:
Rear License Plate 239 sv8,5 2
Tailgate/Boot 239 sv8,5 (more power?)	1
Glove Compartment 239 sv8,5 1
Front Foot Well 2821 T10 W5W 2
Mirror Housing Puddle 2821 T10 W5W 2
Front Courtesy 2821 T10 W5W 2
Front Reading 2821 T10 W5W 2
Rear Reading 2821 T10 W5W 2
Rear Indicators 7506 1156 P21W 2 Amber?
Rear Brake 7506 1156 P21W 2 Red?
Rear Reverse 7506 1156 P21W 2 White?
Can anyone confirm if there are any mistakes. Plan to just bulk purchase from somewhere (possible ultraleds.co.uk or hq-auto-lighting on ebay).
