Default Where is thermostat fitted on c30 1.8?

Hi my thermostat I buggered and I need to replace it can someone tell me where it is on the engine? Under intake? And what's the best way o changing it? Thanks si

HI si,

If you have the 1.8 its the mazda block, the stat is a plastic piece with 3x 8mm head bolts that go onto the block, follow a large dia hose up under the intake man, on the lhs as you look under the bonnet. Its common with the ford focus. Bit of a fiddle to get one of the bolts back in, i would use a flexi extension on say a 1/4" socket might save you a lot of cursing.. what temp does yours run at?

Temperature of coolant is fluctuating it goes to 90` then move down to 70' than back to 90' so on
