REVISED South West Group meet Sunday 1st November 2009 - Page 3

Hi Steve,

We're just looking at it now. We've contacted everyone we can think of in the South West and put out as much publicity as possible, but it's still a bit quiet to justify a 200 mile round trip for St3ve and me!

We'll see if we get a few more definite takers by tomorrow morning and, if we get a few, we'll go for it. We'll see what happens by 12 noon on Friday.

It'll be a real shame if we have to cancel it as it's a heck of a pub (brilliant food!) and it would be great to have a good social event there

SUNDAY'S MEETING CANCELLED

Thanks to everyone who's called by to look at this thread but, unfortunately, we haven't been able to get enough interested people to run the event.

It's a real shame, but you can't win 'em all!

If anyone has an idea for an event to get a new meeting going in the South West please post away!

oh no! can the next one be organised for the beginning of the month as i get paid on the 28th of each month, it's unfortunate that i had a busy month and run out of money.

can't we go to that pub at the beginning of november sunday the 1st mayb i'd be interested in still going there!

looking forward to the next one.

If you are willing to help us to drum up interest and publicise it (and we can get a few people to commit to it) I'm happy to give it another go

We could do. One of the things that does make this very difficult is that I'd usually try and keep the first post on a thread up to date on a daily basis. When I started this thread I had wanted the first post to just be the beginning, adding more colour and stuff of interest every couple of days. That usually really does keep interest going but, unfortunately, I subsequently found that the site settings don't allow it.

Is it possible for a moderator to allow this function for one thread, or is it a global setting?

Without this facility it's going to be a bit limiting.....

would you believe it i got paid today, i normally get paid on the 28th of each month but if it's on a sunday it goes on the monday..........but my bank see it early and pays me on the saturday, hence why i wasn't able to make it on sunday! but it seems my bank saw my wages early this time.

come on guys lets make the new date and put the southwest back on the map!!!
