You tend to notice the performance of others from the cab of a Merc Actross
particularly those who cannot seem to either accelarate briskly or drop back and then overtake at feeder slip roads, am I invisible? white tractor and a 45 ft blue trailor?

I tend to notice the speed of others on motorways as I normally drive with the cruise control set at 70.

It's not just the idiots screaming down the outside that amuse, but those whose speed undulates or the ones that decide to accelerate as I move to overtake.

Driving a brick though, I do like to bait the tailgaters.
If I'm overtaking a slower vehicle and an idiot screams up behind me, I just sit there at 70 as long as necessary to give the vehicle on the inside plenty of room. Then I drift back in at a glacial pace (I find they like that).
If the tailgater gets really obnoxious a little left foot braking normally cures their urgency, especially when they get close.

Particularly if, as I seem to note, you have a towbar hook on the back?

The Memsahib, many years ago with a 760 had a small peugeot suddenley turn right across her bows, Volvo = scuffed bumper - Pug write off/ nicked Dwithout DCA and our costs

Yup, they seem to get the message

I have a friend who gets really intimidated when driving his Focus estate.
He can't understand how I can be so relaxed behind the wheel

I quick run up in 3rd gear just as they get along side when you've pulled in, and then pulling back out ahead of them 50 yards ahead is also a good way to get your point across

although it's most fun with BMW drivers for some reason...

Its the same for Coach drivers m8, you wouldn't believe the risks people take to get in front of you they just can't stand the thought of sitting behind a coach so instead they opt to risk the lives of not only themselvs but that of on coming cars and and my passengers !! Absolute lunacy

Default road rage

i had some young prat have a go at me in a car park i was blocking his way when he came round the parked traffic at about 30 mph with his mobile held to his ear,i aborted my idea of backing in the parking place so i could get passengers side to passengers side on both cars giving more room to both of us to open doors.
From what i can gather he was having an arguement with his girl friend and
was looking for someone to take it out on,now 30 years back i would have quite happily decked the **** but now im a wrinkly it was a loose loose situation,my missus calmed him down but now i carry a spraycan of wasp killer in each car which i read somewhere will immobilise any yob who gets a spray in the face,it has a reach of about 5 feet well out of fist range so a couple of quid seems well spent to me,he said i smiled at him and was taking the ****
i remember when we all respected the old not beat em up for smiling
