Exclamation Please HELP! No Power to locks and windows on Passenger side

Hi Guys,

Can you help - V50 2.0 55 plate. UK.

I got in the car last night and couldn't open the passenger side front and rear doors.
There is also no power to either window including the fact that the switches do not light up. The car has not been hit so Im assuming this could be a fuse? I recently changes the setting to 'auto lock' in the menu, so maybe that's whats done it.
I cant open either door from the inside and now Im scared the same thing might happen when Im in the car on the drivers side. Not great in an accident. (not that Im planning on having one)
Thoughts / help please?
Ta very,

Check the electrical plug conections on all the doors are seated correctly they should be retained by clips or pull out and a very light spray with wd40.

c) is this sounding like it could be expensive?

Default seperate fuse

I had the same issue on my car but a rear door. The dealer wanted to charge to sort it, but I bought the Haynes manual and found that each door had a separate fuse.

My book quotes fuse supply to F83 (25A) as the passenger door supply fuse (Passenger fuse box)

give that a try....

Nice one Jon - I'm sure it must be that. Did the window stop working too?
shall have a look at the Haynes in a bit - thinking of selling the car anyway..

Default V50 electrics

Most likely corrosion on contacts in wiring loom in A-pillar. Standard Vovlo fix in Aust is they replace loom with gold plated plugs. Worked on mine.

This was an intermittent fault in my driver side doors on my V50 (06). At first it was occasional but then permanent (affecting both front and back door). Sometimes I could open it manually from the inside but other times I couldn't for some reason.

I took it to Volvo in Hexham who initially thought it was the regulator in the drivers door, but advised taking it back to them after they had ordered in the part. I did this and was called over by the technician who had removed the speaker from the drivers door. He found that the wiring loom had connections in which looked corroded so he let me take it away and cut away the bad wire and put in new connections. Everything worked after that (it took about a week for the auto-down function to work but that was something I could have lived without). The dodgy connections were lying at the bottom of the door where the water collects before escaping through the drain holes.

The technician recommended replacing the wiring loom (he reckoned about £70 for the part and an hour and a half labour). He also said that they had replaced a lot of the wiring looms because of the connections where it enters the door from the dashboard, so it'll be worth checking once you get the door open.

First port of call...

... get in the manual and check the fuses under the passenger foot-well.

Could well be just a blown fuse

Their was a recall on this age car and the wiring connectors on each door were packed with a grease so if you do spray anything with wd40 always relube as wd40 cleans and doesnt lube for any length of time.
