weber 32 dir haynes manual scan and email me?
has anyone got a haynes weber carburetor manual, or something similar, you could scan and email just the pages concerning the weber 32dir i think its model 104. the carb is in my wifes newley purchased 340gl 1990 and its a in a bad way. so im getting a service kit for it, and need some info on how to set everything back up after dismantling.

RE: weber 32 dir haynes manual scan and email me?
The most common fault is the idle jet which is externally fitted on the idle cut off solenoid which has a wire going to it. You can unscrew it easily after removing the air cleaner. They tend to overheat and demagnetise.
A temporary cure is to cut 1/8th in off the plunger which allows idlling fuel through all the time. You may get some run on after switching offa hot engine but the engine starts and runs smoother with this mod. Also check yor breather pipes are clear as the thin one also affects the idle . RE: weber 32 dir haynes manual scan and email me?
yes i know about this prob. ive put the car on a gas analyzer and set the co and idle, then i rev the engine to about 2000 rpm, watching the co content it rises to about 6-7% and stays there :(. so im guessing theres a prob with the progression system somewhere. ive bought a weber 32 dir service kit (which seems to have two float needles in it?) and some diagphrams, £31 it cost me jeeesss. this is why i need some pages from the carb manual, so i can dismantle and rebuild, setting everything up to approximate start settings before tuning. when i bought the car last weekend, i found that when i got it home and started working on it the next day, it didnt have an air filter and the choke flaps had been disconected, ahhhhhh. so im guessing someones been fiddling.
