Unhappy "Lid" under steering wheel is falling off

Hi guys!
I came to a very annoying problem and that is that that "carpet lid" under steering wheel where pedals are keeps falling off.
I would surely try to fix it somehow, but this thingy fell off from somewhere and I have no idea what it could be and where should I put it back...

And i'd also like to know your ideas how to fix the lid back-just glue it? I couldn't find anything holding it in the back. There are two plastic pins (or whatever they are) and one of them is broken.

Hey up,

The "clip" looking part goes over the end of your piece of trim. The pole sticks into the footwell to hold it up. It's about centre on the back of the piece of trim.

Cheers,

Daniel
