IIRC (I was looking at this a few days ago), the early 6-speeds still used 3309, converting across to 3324/AW1 in (again IIRC) in 2010 or so.

99% sure that info is on wiki

... but please do check.

Sorry, I misread Tatsfield's post. JWS3324 transmission fluid is used in newer models, but mine takes JWS3309. I believe the XC90's & possibly other models continued to use the old fluid (JWS3309) until around 2012, then that was superseded by JWS3324 or AW-1.

Mannol for me it is!

The fluid you need is documented in your owners manual. Most Volvo’s using the TF80 box switched to AW-1 in MY 2011 but the XC90 continued to use JWS3309 until MY 2013. However it’s a none issue as they are interchangeable, the difference is AW-1 has a slightly lower viscosity for fractionally better economy.

Mine takes JWS3309 - I've checked the owners manual. My car is a 2007, so the newer JWS3324 or AW-1 fluid isn't required.

Euro Car Parts sell this fluid. According to the description, its JWS3309 compatible. Has anyone used it on their car?

I had an issue with my alarm going off randomly, so I brought it to a local interdependent Volvo specialist who diagnosed the issue to be the driver's side rear passenger door lock. I thought it makes sense to get the gearbox oil changed whilst it was in the garage, so they done that for me too. They done the gearbox oil change, reset the transmission counter, adaptions & reset something to do with the alignment sensor.

Its made a remarkable difference. Very impressed!

Hi, what alignment sensor please?
Glad you're happy with the results
