  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default V50 alarm service required

Hi all I'm getting the message alarm service required and the immobilizer is not letting the car start iv been told to replace the battery in the alarm unit can anyone tell me were the alarm unit is on my v50 cheers

lots of vids showing how to do this. its either underneath the scuttle below leading edge of windscreen in engine bay, or inside front wheel arch. Either way it's accessible. Do a Google, you will find some great guides. Also it's been over at length on this forum, so you can search for forum posts using google too. Just be careful not to lock keys in car when disconnecting things :-). Oh, and make sure your main car battery is good, and alternator first. When these start to go it's possible to get these intermitent messages and your sirent back up may be okay.
