Default Volvo V40 Estate 1.6S, 03 Plate, 1 owner and only 23000 mile

A friend of mine is advertising his great uncle's V40 for sale. 23k miles, just serviced and new cambelt! If my V70 wasn't Mr Reliable I'd be tempted myself. Details below. PM me if interested and I'll pass numbers on.

[quote author=Sax link=topic=99124.msg1432694#msg1432694 date=1322168409]
As per the title, Volvo V40 Estate 1.6S for sale. £3000.

The car was purchase brand spanking new by my Great Uncle on 03/04/03 and he is the only owner. His reason for selling is that he is too old to drive and I completely agree!!! :crutch:

The car has a full Volvo main dealer (Squire Furneaux of Maidenhead) service history as follows:-

11/03/04 4022 miles
14/04/05 7745 miles
29/03/06 10524 miles
28/03/07 13680 miles
26/03/08 16405 miles
26/03/09 19050 miles
09/04/10 21326 miles
07/04/11 22894 miles
The mileage now stands at 23713 and will not change unless someone wants a test drive.

It is a manual, petrol and has electric windows all round, electric mirrors, heated seats, Air Con, Radio/Cassette/CD, remote central locking. It has MOT until 08/04/12 and tax until 31/03/12. He had great delight in telling me that it had only been on the motorway once and has only done 70mph once on a trip from Maidenhead to Oxford!

It has a few scratches on it and slight bump to the offside front wing (see picture)

Shows damage to front wing...
Paint scruffs to rear nearside arch...

Starts first time, every time. Everything seems to work perfect. It's done less than 1000 miles since the last service so the oil is still golden! My Great Uncle is going to dig out all the old MOT certificates and even has the original bill of sale! The last service cost in excess of £700 and included a new cam belt! Located in Maidenhead and viewings can be arranged by PM'ing me. Give me a shout if you have any questions. £3000 bargain!

Cheers.

What is that round-and-pointy-looking thing on ignition key? An extra spare key or something? I see it for the first time...

I agree with DC

Definitely a door lock, star key, for a mortice bolt type latch.
