Question ipod, IO8 and V40 (oh my!)

Hiya

Since I received my lovely V40 last Christmas I've happily listened to music and podcasts using my iPod touch connected via USB. The steering wheel controls worked beautifully.

However, last week I updated my iPod with the new IOS8. Now I can't access podcasts from the car controls. When I try and play one, the car stereo pauses for a few seconds and then starts playing a random music track.

I've tried clearing out the entire iPod - resetting it and then re-loading podcasts. However no joy.

Has anyone else had similar issues with IOS8 and the USB connection with their Volvo?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Phil

I assume this is working again with the 8.0.2 update?

If not, are the files on your phone or in the cloud? The V40 seems to be able to see cloud based tracks but can't play them. I have this issue as I'm using iTunes Match, so the car sees everything I have, but won't play them unless I've downloaded them.
