Default V40 needs saving from the scrapman

Ok here we go, my V40 2.0 CD has an internal gear box issue meaning it can be driven but whirrs and clicks at lower speeds. The price for me for replace means its better to put the cash towards a new car and sell this on. Ive topped up the gearbox oil ready for anyone to drive away and at least get it home although the gearbox specialist place said its ok to drive and will just keep getting worse before failing so someone has the chance to swap boxes?

Id like to either sell this whole with all extras except the stereo or break the parts and sell but im not sure how id get on posting the large parts.
The car is located in Long Eaton for viewing. PM me offers or a number to call and discuss offers etc.

It has everything and some more and it all works with exception of the headlight wash wipe (not needed for MOT). Ive had the car 7 years and its been a great drive and never let me down just had any normal issues you would a car this age and normal parts wearing out.
MOT till Nov 3rd and tax till May 2014. Has covered 133000 miles and still runs well and starts every time. The Battery is a couple of years old a Bosch S5 biggest that would fit.
Its just had a service with fully synthetic oil and plugs etc
No leaks and does not use any fluids apart from engine oil.
Its had some new engine sensors, all the temp ones and outside sensor to. Also its had recent Lambda sensor, new coils and leads all genuine form FRF Volvo.
Has service history with dates and what work has been done like the new rear brake pipes that were done and the brake caliper overhaul etc
As you can see from the pics it has all CD refinements.

Extras it has which are all removable to put on another car are -
  • Later 4 into 2 exhaust manifold mated to a custom made SS twin pipe down pipe into a 200 cell race cat mated to a full P1 T4 Ferretia exhaust system. This has had the middle box replaced with a powerflow box under warranty when the mid box failed. So the whole system is good for either any P1 NA engine OR a T4. The system will fit a P2 T4 but needs the back box to have the mounts altered a bit
  • Goodridge brake hoses all round
  • Sachs Advantage sport shocks all round
  • Whiteline rear ARB with adjustable stiffness settings, strengthened ARB to chassis mounts as standard ones will fatigue after 6 months due to the extra force
  • Eibach front lowered coils -30mm and the shocks have had brand new OEM top mounts installed just over a year ago
  • Strut brace genuine Volvo
  • Lower front strut brace Zender (fits T4 to)
  • K&N air filter, just been cleaned and oiled this car has no MAF
  • Evo soild rubber bottom engine mounts
  • Twin headlights with 5 wires for easy swap out from the single headlamps
  • Fold down dog guard
  • Storage pocket with door fitted to left in boot like newer models
  • Rubber mats
  • Roof rails
  • 5 x Alloy wheels 7 spoke 17" with 215 40 17 tires tread is ok all round more on front. I have a brand new 5th wheel i bought at the same time as the others in case one gets damaged will go with it, the wheels are in good condition but would be perfect with a refurb now as there 5 years old
  • All original sales and handbooks/manuals that came with car plus a Haynes one. Set of genuine wheel bolts and locks form when it had the original alloys on. i also have many pics on my pc of when i first bought it and had stuff added.

paisley freight or city link for big parts, paisley freight usually slightly cheaper, but City link very quick, especially if you have a local depot, you can get any part drop off at their depot B4 8pm and do G'tee next day, or often even B4 12 for about 25-30 quid

other parts UPS drop off is good, drop off at local newsagent B4 3.30pm, G'tee'd next day, most stuff £8+vat, My hermes drop off very very cheap, about 3-5 days delivery

http://www.interparcel.com try them first for anything over 1kg (under 1kg, postoffice small/medium parcels)
then if to much
http://www.p4d.co.uk/ not as cheap for most stuff, until you go big, which is where they have city link account

for bulky stuff

If im breaking it then the brace has already gone im afraid.

Wheels and tyres with the spigot rings and all bolts.

Clear running lights (one has a broken clip so just use a bit of silicon to hold it in) one is brand new and the other 3 have new orange bulbs in them.

Need to clarify, is it the WHOLE exhaust or just after the cat?

Lowering springs need to clarify, is this just the front 2 Eibach or all 4 struts with the newish gas dampers and sports rear coils?

Once i know which exact bits you want ill try and give a good price bearing in mind i might need a hand to remove the exhaust and ill have to put the car on wooden blocks to drop the suspension of it If you don;t mind ofc and i bet you'll see something else i can just let you have.

So is the whole exhaust system good for a T4 then?

How much for the wind deflectors, exhaust sytem (if not already gone), roof rails and clear markers please?
Also, can i have first dibs on them?

I noticed that there seems to be a puppy sticking his head out of the dash.
Sneaky bugger looks like he's trying to escape. lol

The exhaust after the cat is a T4 one.
The rails and deflectors can go for £90 don't have any postage prices ATM though
