why dont you speak to a local independant (not chain!!!) tyre place and try higher profile tyres.
The current trend for big alloys and rubber band tyres is good for nothing on UK roads. 15" wheels are more than adequate, cheaper to shod and better in the wet. We are being conditioned that big is better.
Even 16" is unnecesary.

Really?

And why would that be? Seems daft really?

16" is smallest you can fit with big brakes fitted to D3 & D4

I don't believe / understand that.

Maybe the sports chassis is pointless on d2?

Is dynamic chassis better than just 'lowered'? I imagine that dynamic is a sportier chassis, hence why not on D2 but on the higher powered ones?

Kinda makes a bit more sense that then.

Don't get confused by the name. "Dynamic" is the standard chassis. The "sportier" one is the Sport chassis....

Choose a set of 7.5 16" wheels. http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/alloy...?wheel_size=16

Then choose as big a size of tyre for the rim as you can fit under the wheel arch. Look for the maximum diameter you can fit. It's a big sidewall you want. You can go to about 2.5% to give a good selection of tyres. http://www.alloywheels.com/Tyre_Calculator Then choose a set tyres in your chosen size. Don't get XL rated tyres and look for ones with good rolling resistance. ie. the ones with good fuel ratings.

This will improve the comfort levels and should come in under a £1000.
