Got there in the end though after several return trips and it's pushing around 370bhp now IIRC.

It's odd that Ford and Volvo didn't share the same ECU setup given the similarities throughout the cars.

Would be nice just to take it to Dreamscience or one of the other Ford specialists and get it mapped there.
Yeh thanks mate, hope it all goes well. Yeh its sad that Shark folded as they would of been the best solution

Nice to see you finally getting it all assembled, cant wait to hear how it turned out to be (also, let go of this OTE pipe already, will ya? ).

As for mapping - have you spoken to Robert Hilton at all? I know over-the-distance mapping may be not everyone's cup of tea but its worth to check if you havent yet.

Ah yes that's a good idea, I've been speaking to a garage that wouldn't map the car but if I could get someone abroad to send him the files, he would pop it on and get it on the rolling road. Do you have his contact details?

So guys the deed is done, the car is back.

Bolting this turbo onto our T5's is a complete game changer. Going from a remapped K04 to a K16 (Hybrid) is just insane ... cannot stop laughing when the car finds the traction to then rocket itself off.

Thanks to all of you for your help with comments and advice here. Very much appreciated, defenitly would of been a silly decision to not of gone forge or run a basic setup for this power.

Very happy with the car now, absolutly over the moon with the machine .... but it does need a Limited Slip Diff badly so thats on the list for Jan!!

Sounds great Dom! Any idea of 0-60 time, or the BHP you're making?

Thanks Mark, im not entirely sure myself really. Its difficult to put the power down so I think I will need some time to get used to being a lot more gentle on feeding the power to the wheels to find that middle ground where I can give it enough power to not spin up the wheels. Defenitly an event to drive!

As for a bhp, I dont really have a clue. I just know that the car now is in a massivly different power bracket really. Another mate with an S40 T5 K16 had a rolling road done on his and he was producing 399bhp, Mine is a K16 hybrid so I recon 400bhp minimum really as I have a few other things to aid my turbo.

I was thinking high 3's which in itself is a game changer compared to stock, but 4-something would be huge!!

you really should reduce the compression ratio to something like 8:1 with high boost ... it will then reduce the efficiency of the engine 90% of the time when you are cruising around ....
