C30 d4 egr advice...
Can someone please advise a good procedure for the removal and cleaning of my egr valve and associated pipes on my c30 d4 20v engine (euro5)?
I understand there are varying egrs used. My car is running fine but i would like to inspect and clean as part of the annual service.. Thanks! |

Ideally want the whole lot off to do a proper job. What about the inlet manifold? (That could be a second job in itself!) |

Doesn’t look like it, clean what you can in situ And forget about it. They don’t often cause issue. A lot of the bolts are hidden and it’s just a pain in the arse job.

Youtube - Tolly Swift, his car is a C30 D5 and takes you through the basics of removing it from the car.
I filmed myself doing it but have a lot fo footage to edit, all in all - it was a horrid job!
