Default Blonde carpets - gone?

Just "building" my new XC90, and only now noticed the interiors are now Blonde/Charcoal and not Blonde/Blonde.
In fact it seems all colour choices have the Charcoal addition now.
When did Volvo cease to use blonde carpets?
I prefer them because they lift the interior making it much lighter inside.

Obviously I use additional mats to keep the footwells clean, but they are light coloured also.
Granted some dirt still gets under them at times

I feel disappointed that someone at Volvo has decided that buyers of these expensive premium cars should have fewer options.

I ordered my XC90 inscription late March/early April 2016 (cant remember exactly when) with blonde interior and carpets, there was then a delay in production as Volvo were changing to 2017 model year, the spec changed then to blonde with charcoal carpets. My car was delivered in june 2016 (2017 MY) with the new spec, it was not all bad news as some of the options I had ordered were now standard and PA2 and power pulse had arrived, and I was able to include more options with the money I did not have to pay for the now standard ones. I would have still prefered blonde carpets as well though.

Link below of my posting at the time, I did say Blis was included as standard but it was not, my dealer included it free.

Blonde carpets became unavailable in MY17 cars from Apr/May 2016.
