When and how were you misled? And by who?
If that is the true case then you have one of only a handful of honest Volvo dealerships..

How many people on this DEM topic where told they had a reconditioned part fitted???How many others where told of what parts were being fitted are reconditioned???

The OP on this post was told Volvo don't use reconditioned parts..

How would I know? How would you know? That's a question that's impossible to answer correctly. I can only speak for myself.

It seems to me that there was a mistake by one person in the post you mention. Everyone else spoken to in the dealership seems to be quite clear that a reconditioned part was fitted and charged for accordingly. The guy should have been given the options first though. That is the mistake that was made I think. Certainly not every dealership runs perfectly.

Implying that makes every dealership dishonest and Volvo are unable to recondition parts to a high standard is just plain nonsense in my book.

Evening all

Yet another sob story! My wife’s xc90 2012 had a semi recurring problem - the W mode was coming on every now and again and she then got the AWD SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED. What should I be getting looked at / checked? About 6 months ago the filter and oil were replaced on the Haldex and that seemed to cure the problem but unfortunately it has come back.

Thanks

Just an update on this.

My mechanic has checked everything and can't find any faults, so I now suspect it may be a probelm with the actual button. I've sprayed contact cleaner around it and that has definately improved things. I'm going to book it in after the holiday to see if the button can be replaced, I'm thinking the wife may have spilt something on it at some stage.
