Hi all,

That is a very nice looking car - no it isn't it is stunning. I think the series II 60 series look stunning in saloon or estate. I have not seen much about the V60 on the forum, unless of course I am looking in the wrong place!

I am awaiting delivery (due first week in October) of a V60 Inscription pro T4 in denim blue with a few extras. I have read in some places that the 8 speed gearbox can be hesitant. I had a shortish test drive in an XC40 with box (it was the only one with that engine/gearbox that they had available), and it seemed fine to me. I am not a boy racer (at 67!!!), so I don't do quick getaways. I would be interested in opinions on the car and any tips from the "experts"

Regards

I have the V60 T5. I haven't found the gearbox hesitant, but I haven't been trying to keep up with Louis Hamilton. You do feel the changes if you floor the throttle, but they aren't severe.

If the T4 uses the same Aisin 8-speed auto (which I believe it does?) I would agree that it can sometimes be considered 'hesitant' - definitely on kick-down it takes a little longer than expected, otherwise a perfectly fine autobox in my opinion

Thanks guys. It is probably the typical motor journalist thing of feeling they have to justify their salary by finding something to criticise. I am certainly no Lewis Hamilton and fall more into the "considered actions" category than boy racer. It is good to know from real people what the car is like
