Talking Selling my V70...

Hello all,
I have decided to downsize my collection of old bangers, mainly due to the cost of road tax, no, in fact entirely due to the cost of road tax! I am selling my V70 2.5 10v. It’s done 121740 miles and has MoT until 7th February 2020. It has a cow hoof-shaped dent in the front office wing and various scratches and dents here and there - far from a minter! However starts first time every time and runs very well indeed. It has a good set of winter tyres on propellor alloys with loads of tread left in them. I can scrap the car for £175....is anyone interested in it for £250? Car is located near Chester, WA6 postcode. She’s not the prettiest but a good old workhorse.
I will upload a couple of pics when I get home or I can email them to you.
Thanks guys,
Dave.

Default More info and pics...

Sorry, some more info on the car:

1996/P (P328 ATN)
Mileage 121k
I don’t have any pics of the interior, velour in good order, just dirty inside as I have been using the car to carry my gardening tools in. Seams on the seats split as usual with this interior! I need to move the car asap preferably by Saturday, otherwise I will just let the breaker collect it Monday. Price is £250 - its worth at least that and more in parts. Recently it has had the following:

1. Set of winter tyres - they have done less than 3000 miles.
2. New ignition coil.
3. Oil and filter change.
4. New exhaust system (full) last year, again less than 3000 miles ago.
5. New cam position sensor.
6. New crank position sensor.
7. New discs and pads all round, again less than 3000 miles ago.

Thanks, and all good wishes,
Dave.

Hi Dave,

I’m in work just no, but let me have a think and if I can spare time I’ll respond this evening about the car.

I’m located in Scotland (Isle of Bute), but I’m actually travelling down next Tuesday to Southampton for a Volvo 360, so if I can accommodate yours, I will.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for the reply, greatly appreciated. The car is now sold to another forum member. In any event I wouldn't really want to hold on to it until Tuesday as the breaker is due to collect it Monday. The issue is space - I have transferred the insurance to another vehicle and can't leave the Volvo on the road. I have it parked on a neighbours drive, but I have to move it on by Monday, hence the call to the breaker!
With thanks again, and all good wishes,
Dave.

With almost a year's MOT, that had got to be a bargain for somebody. Glad its gone to a forum member, and congratulations on the sale! As I've very recently said elsewhere, I believe these cars are grossly undervalued at present.

Regards, John.

Thanks John,
No doubt I will be hankering for another V70 again at some point! I quite fancy a Mk1 XC70/Cross Country thingy. I saw a white one, locally, not long ago for not much money and in excellent condition. It's on the list anyway.

That really doesn't look too bad.
I love that colour.
Someone got a bargain there.
