Default Climate control problems

Hi guys.

I got my factorynew XC90 2,4 Diesel in dec 05 and I must say that I am already sick and tired being the owner.

After a trip to Austria with wife and kids I must say the climate control sucks.......especially after two trips to the dealer where they
say it works 100% ok.

The problem is different temp. between left and right side and cold air coming from pasenger side + rear seats ducts even with
the temperatur controller set at 24-26 degrees celcius / 75-78 degrees fahrenheit, my wife and kids complain a lot
Furthermore icecold air coming from the passengerside footroom right side.

Im getting very desperate.......any help around.

I HATE when dealers look at me with that sad face like I is my own fault .

Greetings,
Jacob

I find that to get warm air blowing out of the 'B' post vents for the rear passengers, I have to change the climate control from auto to face level. As soon as I put it back to auto, the rear vents stop blowing hot air, even though the front vents continue hot!

Mentioned this at the dealer, who said that this is normal. I think its strange, but it has not actually caused a real problem to date, so have not persued it. Perhaps the dealer is right and this is normal!

Re the continuous cold air in the passenger footwell, this sounds as though either a blanking plate / grommet, or of course one of the heater air ducts / pipes is dislodged / missing.

First dealer swapped the blower and the second dealer calibrated the valves......no luck.

They say it is normal......but if you compare it to our V70 it is everything else than perfect and as I told the last dealer I am really disappointed with the XC90.
He told me that he never heard anyone complain about this before , but maybe in a year or so if many complains had gotten to Volvo knowledge they will make a service bulletin.............bull****.

So my point is , if they can make it work perfectly in an V70.......why not in an XC90.

Greetings,
Jacob

The last dealer was in Copenhagen, Denmark....the first one in Cologne, Germany ( where I bought it )

But both came to the same conclusion more or less......
