Alternator removal V8
Dear all
This is a desperate situation! Has anybody removed the alternator on V8 (B8444S) engine? I spent about 4 hours just to loosen three bolts that hold it in place plus a nut and electrical connector. It's all incredibly tight! Now that it's free, VIDA suggests it can be removed from the engine bay through the wheel arch with just displacing the fuel lines. But looking at it, there's no way this thing can come out without removing the driveshaft (with support bearing and all) first and then removing (not just displacing) the fuel lines. So I guess that's what I'm gonna do, but still, has anybody done it before? Am I missing something major? Ta

I don't know which version of Vida you're using but Vida 2014d does say that you need to remove the driveshaft.
