Cool Parasitic Draw Test

Hello, I'm new here and look forward to helping and being helped as well. I have a 2001 Volvo S80. I've had problems with something draining my battery. I done a parasitic draw test and narrowed it down to fuse 32 in the cabin. From here the only thing I have found thus far that may be draining my battery is the little buzzing fan behind the climate control, which seems to come on whenever it wants. I have unplugged just the fan at the green connector and finally nothing was drawing from the battery. Have not done a test as I haven't driven the car due to throttle body that was supposedly cleaned under warranty and should have been changed, but that's coming out of my pocket now(sorry for the rant). My question is have anyone else had this problem and can I just replace the little fan? I will be hopefully replacing my Throttle Body in a week or so and also have several other issues that I will be posting and searching for in weeks to come. Any help would really be appreciated.

Smile greetings

That fan as you say is in the climate control part of the dash, i believe its purpose is to circulate air past the sensor that hides behind the small grille on the (ECM) dash module, i think it does run on for some time after the keys removed but should then switch off as the module shuts down.

If it keeps running then it could be the cause of the problem, but working out why it doesn't switch off is the issue..

Someone recently posted some wiring diagrams, which give an idea of just how many electronic modules are on these cars ill post a link if your interested ..
