Front Fog Light (Glas ?) for 2003 V40
The crazy policy adopted by the Highways Agency, where they just scatter tons of loose chippings and leave the poor motorist to "flatten it" has just cost me my front o/s fog light glass. Is the glass replaceable or will I need to fit a whole new unit. Either way I need either a new glass or a new unit. Anyone got the required part please ?

I am afraid you need a whole unit. I think I have a spare one. Can confirm tonight when I get back

Remove the under bumper tray.
Push out the middle of the plastic pin that holds the lower leg of the foglight to the bumper. Undo the two Philips head screws that hold the foglight to the bumper. Undo the bulb holder. Unclip the white clip that holds the wiring for the side marker to the side of the fogllight. Remove the foglight. |

Yeap, exactly as Antz said. It might be a bit fiddly if you are doing it for the first time, but it is much easier once you've done it a couple of times.
Anyway, found the fog light. Is £12.85 including 2nd class postage, or £13.30 1st class reasonable?

Fog Light
Thanks to Gatos for the prompt sending of the replacement fog light which arrived in today's post. Took just under an hour to fit and that included jacking the car up. Excellent details on how to do it, thanks to Antz.
