Good time to add to my GEELY share holdings
Honestly I wouldn't bother with the shares. These are nice looking cars but seriously overpriced and made from cheap Chinese sh!te as I'm now finding out. Geely are completely in lala land if they think they're even close to BMW or Audi quality. I doubt there will be many "2nd time around" owners and I honestly hope Volvo go bust as they're a bunch of crooks.

I am on my third Volvo in three years, and certainly don't recognise the criticism of Volvo you are making.

You must have had a very bad experience to hold such a poor view of Volvo.

Judging from his previous post (trolled him). It seems he used to have an XC90.

Go and get merc GLC. Then tell us your experience lol. Apparently it comes with free crabbing and juddering affecting hundreds of UK cars. Without Merc admitting to it. Nearly bought one until I googled it.

He seems to have gone very quiet on the matter.

In the last 10 years I have had as company cars the following:

Passat estate.
Mondeo estate
Golf 1.6 diesel
Another Golf 1.6 diesel
Audi A6 saloon
Audi A6 Avant
Volvo XC70
Volvo XC90

I have also had extended test drives in Audi Q5, BMW 5-series, Merc e-class

The XC70 was probably the car which I "bonded" with the most - ie that I feel most affection for. The XC90 is the most luxurious and relaxing to drive of all them.

The Merc was horrible, poor ergonomics and really agricultural drivetrain.

The BMW was competent but soulless.

The Audi A6s appeared unburstable, but the interior felt dated and the dealers we really arrogant and frankly obnoxious.

The Q5 was surprisingly small inside and well, just a bit footballer.

My XC90 is not flawless and certainly reliability of the electronics has been an issue, but when March 2019 comes it is probably 90% certain that it will be replaced with another XC90 and pretty much 100% certain it will at least be another Volvo.

My dealer is excellent (Riverside Doncaster) and that is half of the fight with any car....

Reassuring Philip for a chap who has been told this week the dealer is expecting my xc90 to arrive with them next week (so with me likely week after next latest).
If this one is as pleasurable to own as my 2009-2013 90 R-Design i will be very happy.
