Default Volvo XC70 Aisin Warner 55-51SN Automatic £170

This gearbox was removed from a 2006 XC70 that lost drive. The transmission itself was original to the car and had covered 116,000 miles. I bought the car 500 miles before the issue occurred and whilst it had a transmission lockup issue in 5th gear (which is a common issue and reading online, this points to a torque converter issue) the gearbox worked without fault. Just after I purchased the car, I tried to perform an oil flush and at this point it was noted that the oil wasn't being pumped at the correct flow rate through the system (the potential cause of the lockup issue). We have owned many XC70's so can confirm the oil should have been pumping faster. Shortly after the oil flush the transmission lost drive completely and had to be recovered, there were no strange noises, just loss of drive.

To cut a long story short, I believe there is potentially nothing wrong with the gearbox itself but may just be the oil pump/torque converter which is why it is listed for spares/repairs. I don't have the time to investigate hence I bought a used unit to replace it. As said previously, the car drove fine with no clunks or harsh shifting, only the 5th gear lockup fault which I have read is down to low oil pressure in the box.

The valve body cover has been removed so would need to be resealed but the box is complete.

Will include torque converter in the sale. Ideal unit to exchange for a refurb.
Collection from Southampton only but could potentially post but haven't looked into costs.

£170 but will accept offers as need the space.
